1933 September 7th. Announcement. 'The largest engine room in the world has been installed at Olympia, London, where the Shipping, Engineering and Machinery Exhibition will be opened to-day by the Earl of Athlone. Huge turbines, engines, machine tools and furnishings for every type of vessel will be view.'
1933 September 7th. Announcement. 'It is safe to assert that one of the greatest successes of the exhibition season will be the Diesel-electric shunter which has been brought to Olympia for the Shipping, Engineering, and Machinery Exhibition. It will be the first full-sized locomotive for use on standard railway tracks to work inside the building. It will be at work throughout the exhibition, and so energetically that it will probably run at least 500 miles before closing day. Some 150 feet track have been laid down for it.'
