1879 Company founded.

1928 Became private company

1961 Manufacturers of domestic laundry equipment, including the "Acme Wringers" 1,000 employees.[1]

1962 of Greenock and Glasgow. Won contract to supply washing machines to Great Universal Stores. John Burt was managing director[2]

1965 Company in liquidation; John Wallace Group was negotiating to take over part of the company[3]. Eventually Polarcold part of the Wallace group took over the Fort Matilda, Greenock factory[4]
