Arranmore Whaling Co

1908 Incorporated on 16th January 1908.

Founded by two Norweigian businessman, L.M. Christensen and Erling Lund.

1910 Blacksod Whaling Co was set up.

1915 Due to heavy debts and the outbreak of World War I, the company closed down.

1932 The company closed down due to lack of demand for blubber and oils.
