Pre-WWII The British Ever Ready Electrical Co was the basis for the brand name Berec.

Post-WWII The Ever Ready trademark was used by the Ever Ready Co (Great Britain) in the home market, Eire and South Africa; elsewhere the Berec trademark was used for the company's products[1]

From the 1950s the Berec name was used for exports of Batteries and Radio sets (as British Ever Ready Export Company). Some Daimon batteries were branded BEREC as were some produced in Switzerland.[2]

1978 The name of Ever Ready (Holdings) was changed to Berec Group
