Bronx Engineering Co of Lye, near Stourbridge.
1940 The company was founded in Lye by two engineers - Bryan Crosthwaite and John Folkes.[1]
1960 Advert for plate working machinery.[2]
1968 Press brake installation and plate bending rolls.[3]
1970 First continuous colour coating line built for Kockums Jernverk, Sweden.[4]
1973 American based Taylor Wilson establish with Bronx Engineering UK a co-licensing agreement to better use each other's technology (Tube and Bar) and new markets.[5]
1974 New appointment to the board of Mr Terry O'Connor, deputy chairman and chief executive of the Bronx Engineering Company and Bronx Process Engineering, both of which are subsidiaries of Bronx Engineering Holdings.[6]
1975 First Continuous Galvanising Line built at Federal Iron Works, Malaysia [7]
1989 Founded Bronx International (Australia) Pty
2001 Bronx/Taylor Wilson was formed to acquire assets from Taylor-Wilson and Bronx Engineering Tube and Bar.[8]
2001 Founded Bronx Engineering Pty Ltd South Africa[9]
2011 Bronx Process Technologies s.r.o. established in Slovakia.[10]
2013 Bronx Thermal Solutions established to manage the manufacturing of thermal equipment from Bronx Process Technologies s.r.o.[11]
The brand is now owned by Schuler of Germany.
