of Beaumaris

WWII Factory established by Saunders-Roe at Beaumaris for handling flying boats in a safe location

The factory continued to be used after the War despite its location because of its established facilities and the urgent need for production resources.

1967 Cammell, Laird and Co acquired the factory from Hawker Siddeley Ltd for its capabilities and potential. Established as an autonomous subsidiary. It was used for large defence and other projects[1][2]

1970 After a financial crisis, the parent company was renamed as Laird Group; it also held 50 percent of the shipbuilding business (the government took on the other 50 percent), as well as the other activities of the former company.
