1954 New subsidiary of Pye formed, Cathodeon Electronic, which took over production of cathode ray tubes; this company made about 8% of Pye's needs for television tubes.
1961 Vacuum research engineers, manufacturing cathode ray tubes and electric incandescent lighting apparatus, thermionic valves, television and X-ray and other scientific apparatus. 300 employees.
