1867 Bought the interest of his brother, Thomas Howard Head, in Head, Ashby and Co

1871 Manufacturing mechanical engineer, living in Stockton, employing 421 men and 62 boys[2]

1890 Chairman of Head, Wrightson and Co when it went public.

1911 director of various companies, living in Folkestone, with his wife Edith age 50[3]

1924 Died in Kent; buried in Folkestone[4]
