It was reformed in 1923 (after the 1921 company failed)
1923 Private company.
1934 Name changed.
1947 The company became a subsidiary of Park Royal Vehicles
1949 Along with parent company Park Royal Vehicles, it became part of Associated Commercial Vehicles (ACV)
1961 Public service vehicle body builders.
1968 Owned by Leyland Motors
1984 The Charles H. Roe company closed.
In the following year a group of employees from the former business, supported by Yorkshire Enterprise Ltd, began the Optare coachbuilding business in the former Roe carriage works.
