Charles Henry Powell Kettle (1882-1933)
1933 Obituary 
He was born at Cheltenham in 1882 and from 1901 to 1904 he received his technical education at the Technical College, Birmingham.
He served his apprenticeship from 1898 to 1903 with Messrs. Belliss and Morcom, afterwards remaining with the firm for several years.
In 1912 Mr. Kettle went to Calcutta as station superintendent of the Calcutta Tramways Company.
He returned to England in 1925 and joined Messrs. Babcock and Wilcox, on whose behalf he spent three years in Russia on construction work.
He had been an Associate Member of the Institution since 1914.
