The full name of the company was Continental - Licht - und Apparatebaugesellschaft mbH Frankfurt a. M.

Founded in 1908 by Henry Seligmann.

The company developed and built acetylene gas generators for welding and lighting purposes as well as high-power lamps in various designs. The company owned over 50 patents at home and abroad.[1]
