1919 Announce service 'motor omnibus service between Exeter and South Devon, including Torquay and Paignton. During the past few weeks men have been busy lopping the branches of the trees which overhang the roadways along the route, and which would be likely to interfere with the traffic. One of the omnibuses has already arrived at Exeter, and another is due almost immediately'[1] YESTERDAY saw the official opening of the motor bus service between Exeter, Torquay, and Paignton by the Devon General Omnibus and Touring Company, Ltd....There are two services, viz., one between Exeter and Paignton the other between Exeter and Torquay. The 'bus for former route leaves the city at 8.30 a.m. and 4.50 in., and latter 8.15 a.m. and 3.15 p.m....Mr. J. S. Mill, general manager at the Paris-street Garage.'[2]

1930 Application for 24 Omnibus licences, an increase of four.[7]
1952 The 33rd AHM held. Chairman is W. T. James. Just under 10 million miles run with over 63 million passengers carried. Added 25 new vehicles, mostly double-deckers.[8]
1953 registered office changed
1971 Taken over by Western National
1986 Owned by National Bus Co; then sold to management; name changed to Crosville Wales Ltd
1994 Part of British Bus PLC of Salisbury
1996 Owned by Stagecoach Group
1998 Became Arriva Cymru of Sunderland
