1930 After financial reconstruction of the National Omnibus and Transport Co, all of its assets were put into 3 associated companies: Eastern National Omnibus Co, Western National Omnibus Co and Southern National Omnibus Co which were jointly owned with the 4 major railway companies[1]
1948 Nationalised
1986 Sold to its management. Eastern had 526 buses and coaches, including 58 minibuses, and employed 1,470 staff at its Chelmsford headquarters and at 15 garages[2]
1990 Badgerline split the Eastern National operation into 2 companies - Thamesway, which served south Essex and ex-London Regional Transport routes, whilst Eastern National would handle north Essex and south-eastern Hertfordshire services[3]
1994 was owned by Badgerline[4]
