Ed. and Professional Training: Otago University, Karlsruhe Polytechnikum, Siemens Brothers Professional Career: Godalming Pioneer Public Lighting (in charge), 1881; New Zealand Electric Light Co. (N.Z.); Brush Co. (Queensland); founded City Electric Light Co. (Brisbane), managed same 1887-1914; Consulting Engineer to the Water and Sewerage Board (Brisbane ), 1908-15. Chief Works: City Electric Light Company's works in Brisbane. Public Positions: Past President of Brisbane Technical College; Member of Senate of Queensland University. Club: Royal Societies. War Services.—Inspector of H.M. Factories, Department of Munitions; (later) Assistant to Professor J. A. Fleming.
