Edward Cresswell and Sons of Tipton
For many years, occupied the Tipton Ironworks and Blast Furnaces but ultimately failed.
1848 250 tons of iron are made weekly 
1856 Boiler explosion at the ironworks.Seven or eight men and boys injured. An 8 or 9 year old lad named Richard Rudge died from his injuries.
