Ferodo
Ferodo Ltd, makers of frictional materials for brake pad, clutches, etc., of Chapel-en-le-Frith.
1920 A public company, Ferodo Ltd, was formed to acquire Herbert Frood Co; in addition to the existing products, it was intended to bring Ferodo Stair Treads into production as soon as possible, these having been delayed by the war[1].
1926 Turner and Newall purchased some ordinary shares in Ferodo Ltd[2].
1927 They opened premises at 39, Charles-street, Cardiff.[3]
1927 Advert for friction linings form Ferodo. [4]
1927 Turner and Newall acquired the remainder of the ordinary shares in Ferodo Ltd; also acquired more shares in the American company Ferodo and Asbestos Incorporated of New Brunswick[5].
