1970 Operating under the name of Filtrate Ltd
1980 Moved to a new factory in Leeds, built at a cost of £900,000. Kidacre St. works closed. The company was Britain's "oldest lubricating oil manufacturer" and still independent (-but see R.S. Clare. founded 1748) 
1980 Lubricants supplied to the replica "Rocket", celebrating the provision to the original locomotive of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway in 1830
1988 Hunting sold Filtrate to Carless Lubricants. Carless was rapidly (1988) taken over by Kelt Energy, who proceeded to sell the whole of its lubricants interests to Kuwait Petroleum, who thus inherited the Filtrate plant at Knowsthorpe Gate, Leeds.
1989 Part of Carless Lubricants. Company in liquidation
2015 Kuwait ran down the blending operation, retaining offices, warehousing and some packaging in Leeds. Finished oil is imported from Kuwait's Antwerp plant.
