1970 Advertised for staff[1]

1976 Supplied electrical and mechanical equipment for a mining project in Peru[2]

1981 Became part of GEC-FAST.

Specialised in robot trucks and systems.

1982 Took a Queen's Award for Export Achievement for £66 million worth of overseas orders - 80% of total business 1981-2.

1982 Signed deal with Hitachi to licence Hitachi's general purpose robot[3] with manufacturing expected to start in 1985; in the meantime robots would be imported from Japan.
