1967 GEC acquired AEI. Small motors had been produced at factories in Coventry, Blackheath/Birmingham, Newcastle under Lyme and Thorne/Doncaster. These were taken into GEC Light Industrial Products where they were associated with the Woods fan business
1984 As a result of the GEC rationalisation programme, Witton Kramer's commercial and engineering departments and the brake and thrustor production were moved to the GEC Small Machines factory at Blackheath.
