Established in 1866 by Joseph Glover (d. 1886); succeeded by three sons — Leonard Glover, Edgar Glover (retired 1896), Clarence Glover (retired 1911).

Incorporated as a Limited Company in 1908.

1914 Director: Leonard Glover (Chairman), Premises: Extensive Spinning, Weaving, Dyeing, and Finishing Works at Wortley.
