1860 James Gresham, a draughtsman at Sharp, Stewart, saw the potential in Giffard's injector

1866 Having left Sharp Stewart, he formed a partnership with John Spier Heron, a wire mattress manufacturer, who added this product to his existing business[1]

1866 Gresham and Heron made arrangements with Giffard to manufacture the injectors in Britain as Gresham and Heron

1869/70 Thomas Craven joined the company but he was not 21 at that time, so presumably Heron, Gresham and Craven initially involved his father, James Craven[2]..
