1899 Hookways moved to Hoe Street, Walthamstow.
1899–1900. The firm built a factory on Forest Road, Walthamstow, and originally made collars, braces, and umbrellas.
1929 Listed Exhibitor. Manufacturers of Shirts, Collars, Pyjamas, Umbrellas, Parasols, Braces, Belts, Rug Straps. Sole Makers of Whiteolin (self-washing) Collars. Korton and Corinthian one piece Collars. (Stand No. S.73) [1]
By 1949 the company was specializing in high-grade poplin shirts.
