1946 Obituary. 'Mr. Hugo Holladay. of Edgerton Lodge. Pennsylvania, Exeter, whose funeral took place on Tuesday, went to Exeter in 1898. Joining Mr. John Gould King in the firm of Garton and King. On Mr. King's death, Mr. Holladay was joined his brother, the late Mr. Edgar Holladay, later becoming chairman of the company which was formed. Owing to indifferent health and advancing years - Mr. Holladay was 84 - he had been unable to take a very active part for some time, the business being managed by his nephews Messrs. H. E. E. and A. H. He was a feoffee of St. Petrock's Church. Mr. Holladay's wife died only fortnight ago...'
