1917 the Industrial League was the formal name given to a series of dinners, initially arranged informally, to promote discussion about labour relations between people in industry, the Labour movement and the government, with objective of increasing the good feeling between employers and employed by offering them the means of talking over industrial problems under friendly conditions.
