1861 Living at Shawbury Hall Lane, Sheffield: James Ellis (age 60 born Eckington, Dby.), Ironfounder. With his wife and seven children.[1]

1867 December 30th. Died. 'On the ult., at his residence, Sheaf Cottage, Mr. James Ellis, ironfounder, &c, George-street, and Norfolk Foundry, aged 67, much respected.'[2]
