1816 Born the son of William Wilson and his wife Margaret[1]

1849 Admitted into the Freedom of the City of London

1851 William Wilson) (age 78 born Stanmore), a Retired Merchant, living at Wandsworth Common with his wife Margaret Wilson (age 65 born Edinburgh) and their children .... James W. Wilson (age 33 born Hampstead), Manager of Patent Candle Co. Six servants.[2]

1853 Concerning a patent. '...the petition of James Pillans Wilson and George Fergusson Wilson, and Price's Patent Candle Company, for a prolongation of the term of certain letters patent, granted to Bernard Aube, deceased, for England, Wales, and Berwick-upon-Tweed, bearing date the 7th day of May, 1840, for his invention of "Improvements in the preparation of wool for the manufacture of woollen and other stuffs, and in the process of obtaining the materials to be used for that purpose."...'[3]

1863 December 19th. Married Elizabeth Ursula Smith the daughter of Thomas Smith, a glass cutter, at Battersea. Wilson is shown as a gentleman as is his father William.

1871 Married Mary Ann Selwood in Wandsworth[5]

1881 James P. Wilson 64, consulting adviser to Price's Candles, lived in Wandsworth with Mary A. Wilson 34, Mary Wilson 16, Elizabeth A. Wilson 8, William L. Wilson 7, Lydia Wilson 6, Christopher J. Wilson 2[6]

1890 March 26th. Died age 73 in Wandsworth[7]
