c1843 Born in Edinburgh the son of Alexander Drysdale Wilson

1871 Living at 15 Claremont Street, Glasgow: Alexander D. Wilson (age 69 born Leith), a Retired Shipwright(?). With his wife Isabella P. V. Wilson (age 64 born Fife) and their children John V. Wilson (age 28 born Edine), Manager at Oil Merchant employing 9 persons; and Helen D. Wilson (age 24 born Edine). One servant.[1]

1881 Living at Partick: Isabella P. Wilson (age 74 born Dysart, Fifeshire) with her children John V. Wilson (age 38 born Edinburgh), an Oil Merchant employing 2 clerks, 3 Workmen and 3 Travellers; and Helen D. Wilson (age 34 born Edinburgh). One servant.[2]

1884 July 22nd. Married Alexandrina Eleanor Campbell the daughter of Charles Sutton Campbell. Wilson is the son of Alexander Drysdale Wilson

1902 Mr. Veitch Wilson, of Prices Patent Candle Co Ltd., Battersea, was well known for lubrication of motor-cyclist needs. Price's Motorine was later extended to the lubrication of motors and various parts of motorcycles and cars.

1911 Living at 94 Nightingale Lane, Wandsworth Common SW: John Veitch Wilson (age 68 born Edinburgh), Manager - Oil Works. With his wife Alexandrina E. Wilson (age 51 born Spain - British subject)and their children Margaret E. M. Wilson (age 25 born Manchester), a Physical Education teacher; Isabella P. V. Wilson (age 24 born Manchester); Charles S. C. Wilson (age 21 born Manchester), a Clerk; Alexandrina E. Wilson (age 20 born London); John Veitch Wilson (age 18 born London), a Clerk; Catherine W. Wilson (age 16 born Hayling, Hants); Mary D. Wilson (age 14 born London); and Hall Veitch Wilson (age 11 born London). Three servants.[3]

1921 September 16th. Died. Probate to his widow Alexandrina Eleanor Wilson.
