1917 Obituary 
JOHN WOOD, born in 1831, died 22nd December, 1916.
Early in his career he worked under Sir Thomas Bouch, whose Westminster office he managed for a time.
He laid out that part of the Caledonian Railway between Reattock and Moffat, and had charge of the construction of a number of railway lines.
He was elected a Member 5th May, 1868.
