1920 Company incorporated, initially as Record Gas Mantle Co; the company name was subsequently changed to Lighting Trades Ltd.

1921 First AGM of the company[1]

1926 Acquired J. and W. B. Smith

1930 ICI which had a controlling interest in the company, purchased the remaining shares for cash[2].
