1933 London Passenger Transport Board, otherwise known as London Transport, was established

1948 The board was replaced by the London Transport Executive under the Transport Act 1947 which was responsible for London's buses, trams, coaches and trains.

1970 London Country Bus Services, which were formed by the Transport Holding Co "to receive in due course the property, rights and liabilities comprised in the London Transport Country (green) bus and (Green Line) coach Services", was transferred to the National Bus Co[1]

1981 Decided to place their entire 1982 requirement for 275 buses with Leyland Bus.[2]

1985 London Transport set up a subsidiary known as London Buses Limited (LBL) to run its bus services.

1988 Acquired Victoria Coach Station Limited at the request of the Secretary of State for Transport.
