1906 Morse began manufacturing automobile chains.
1907 Morse chains were made in the UK by Westinghouse Brake Co, eventually as Westinghouse Morse Chain Co
1929 Borg-Warner of USA acquired Morse Chain

1950 Death of John Massey Seddon, London Manager and Director of Morse Chain Co and of 15 Tudor Way, Petts Wood, Kent.[3]
1982 Borg-Warner sold its Morse chain business to Morse Flexon, including the plants at Letchworth and Stotfold[4]
