Two of James Muspratt's sons, Richard and Frederic, opened successful new works using the Leblanc process at Flint and Widnes.

1853 James Muspratt, Sons and Huntley: manufacturing chemists, of 1 Royal Bank Buildings, Liverpool and works at Flint[1]

1858 Partnership dissolved of J. Muspratt, Sons and Huntley, of Flint[2].

1890 Was one of the Leblanc soda manufacturers which amalgamated to form the United Alkali Co.
