1931 The American Philadelphia Storage Battery Corporation established the P.R.T. Corporation in London, England, to handle the sale of Philco radios.
1935 Factory opened at Perivale to assemble radio and related Philco products.
1936 The Philco Radio and Television Corporation of Great Britain was incorporated as a public company to acquire as a going concern the P.R.T. Corporation. Public offer of shares.

1946 The Philco Radio and Television Corporation changed its name to Radio and Television Trust Ltd  in order to acquire export rights which were specifically excluded from the pre-war agreement with Philco Corporation of America. The Philco name would only be used for products sold in Britain; Airmec International Sales was formed to handle exports of products under the Airmec name.
