c. 1911 Company founded by William Lawes Cole, Arthur P. Strohmenger and C. H. Champness.
1915 Name changed.
1930 Acquired by Turner and Newall because the company was a pioneer of the electrical welding industry in which large quantities of blue asbestos were used.[1]
1932 The company supplied electrodes made from blue asbestos and taught the public how to use them. A welding school had been established.[2]
1939 Bilston factory opened.
1955 Name changed.
part of British Oxygen's Electric Welding Division.
1961 Manufacturers and suppliers of manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic electrodes, equipment and installations. [3]
1968 Bilston plant closed and production concentrated at Waltham Cross.[4]
