c1815 Born the son of Anthony Cowburn, coach maker, and his wife Mary

1851 October 31st. Married Ann Bagshaw - See Anne Cowburn. 'On the 31st ult., at Bradley Church, the Rev. E. Thomas, Air. Robert Cowburn, coach builder, of this town, to Ann, youngest daughter of John Bagshaw, Esq., of Bradley Brook, near Ashburn, Derbyshire.'[1]

1851 Living at 27 Todd Street, Manchester. Robert Cowburn (age 36 born Manchester), Coach Builder. With his wife Ann Cowburn (age 35 born Lowter, Derbys.). Also Thomas Embleton (age 23 born K?, Cheshire). Two servants.[2]

1851 Died. 'On the 21st inst., aged 36 years, Mr. Robert Cowburn, coach builder, of Todd-street.'[3]
