2-seat experimental reconnaissance plane powered by the 70-hp Renault engine.

The first flight was on 1st July 1913 and then the plane was fitted with floats and became the H.R.E.2 - the Hydro-Reconnaissance Experimental. After an upset on Fleet Pond, it was converted back to a wheeled version.

Later the engine was replaced by the 100-hp Renault.

One only produced and supplied to the RNAS (serial number 17). It was destroyed in a crash on 10th February 1915.
