Samuel Clough Faviell (1835-1874)
1875 Obituary 
Samuel Clough Faviell was born at Kirkby Overblows, near Wetherby, Yorkshire, on 10th July 1835, and was apprenticed to Mr. Joseph Butler of Stanningley Iron Works near Leeds.
He was afterwards connected with the Kirkstall Forge Co., and eventually became the representative of Messrs. Taylor Brothers and Co., of the Clarence Iron Works, Leeds, which position he occupied till his death on 28th January 1874, in the 39th year of his age.
He became a Member of the Institution in 1865.
