1934 'The South-Western Gas Corporation, Ltd., was incorporated on February this year. It has a capital of £600.000. This is divided into £200.000 of Four-and-a-Half per Cent. Redeemable Cumulative Preference, and £400,000 Ordinary shares, all of £1 each. The main purpose of the Corporation to acquire and hold interests gas undertakings. It is making an offer to purchase Ordinary shares or stock in several Devon and Cornwall gas undertakings. These include the Truro, St Austell, Camborne, St. Blazey, Bude, Okehampton, and the Padstow and St. Columb Gas Companies. The board of directors consists S. J. Ingram, managing director of the Truro Gas Co, C. Holmes Hunt chairman the Bude Gas Co, and C. L. Rosewarne, a director of the Camborne Gas Co. Ltd.'[1]
