Stainforth and Keadby Canal

From Bramwith to Keadby, the canal connected the river Don Navigation to the River Trent.

First used in 1802

The principal engineers were John Thompson and Daniel Servant. [1]

It only had 3 locks - see Keadby Lock

1895 the Sheffield Canal was amalgamated with the River Don Navigation and the Stainforth and Keadby Canal to form the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation.
