A fascinating collection of items in this 'traditional' museum. Items are well-displayed, with clear, concise descriptions. Free admission.
Off particular importance in relation to the city's traditional industries are rooms devoted to the copper processing industry and to the potteries. N.B. Since this entry was written in 2014, and number of exhibits relating to the local copper industry have been relegated to the Swansea Museum Collection Centre, suggesting that the focus of the museum may have changed.
Preserved in the museum's grounds are a rolling mill engine and the beam and links from one of the massive Severn Tunnel pumping engines.
