1949 Court case. 'SYDNEY AMBROSE SHAW (70), an engineer, of High street, Three Bridges, and his son, Ronald Ambrose Shaw, also an engineer, of Northgate-road, Crawley, were before Horsham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and convicted of charges of larceny. They were charged with being concerned together on five counts of stealing circular saws belonging to their former employers, the Arun Engineering Company of Mill Bay-lane, Horsham, and Sidney Shaw was further charged with stealing a J.A.P. engine, also the property of the Arun Company.' Guilty and fined.
