1981 TRW Carr Ltd., formerly Carr Fastener Co. Ltd., was moving half its operation away from Stapleford.[1]

1981 DOT, a famous name in fasteners for clothing canvas and leisure goods, will join Stapleford-based TRW Carr Supplies division of TRW Carr Ltd[2]

1984 The Stapleford factory of TRW Carr Ltd formerly Carr Fastener Ltd would be closing.[3]

1985 TRW United Carr was "a market leader in the manufacture of engineering fastenings, clothing fastenings and switch assemblies for industry." [4]

1993 Claimed to be "a market leader in Europe in the manufacture of precision plastic and metal fastenings for the automotive industry." [5]
