1925 They opened a London office at Aldwych House, Aldwych, London, W.C.2.[5]
1937 Converted into a public company on 24 May [6]. The business had been under the management of Enoch Thompson and his sons, Frederick Stephen Thompson and Howard James Thompson (who were the current managing directors), for 55 years. The managing directors were said to be the 3rd generation in the business [7]. Business of engineering and steel plate fabrication. Very extensive business in steel tanks for road transport, stainless steel tanks and aircraft refuelling equipment. 67 acres of land at the works.

1959 John Thompson had taken over Thompson Brothers (Bilston) in the past year, a business in similar line (This specific company seems to have been set up by brothers of one of the early Thompsons in the John Thompson line; the directors of the two companies were, during the first half the 20th century, cousins). Thompson Brothers (Bilston) had previously absorbed Darham Industries (London) Ltd[8].
1961 General engineers, manufacturing aircraft refuelling, pumping and measuring equipment, chemical plant, galvanising plant, heavy plate pressings, stainless steel tanks and road and rail transport tanks for all liquids. 680 employees. [9]
