Tooljaram Moolji Divecha (1871-1924)
1924 Obituary 
TOOLJARAM MOOLJI DIVECHA was born at Bombay on 27th June 1871, and was educated at the Goculdass Tejpal Anglo Vernacular School.
He served his apprenticeship, from 1883 to 1889, in the engineering workshops of the Sholapur Spinning and Weaving Co., Ltd., and after passing out he obtained in 1890 a third-class engineer's certificate, and was employed as a mechanic foreman in the works of the Mahaluxmi Spinning and Weaving Co., Bombay.
In 1892 he gained his second-class certificate and was then appointed engineer at the Mandel Ginning Factory, where he remained until 1896.
In that year he obtained his first-class certificate and was appointed chief engineer at the Bharatkhund Mills Co., Ahmedabad, a position he held for three years, leaving in 1898 to take up a similar post with the Commercial Mills Co. in the same city.
Three years later he returned to the Bharatkhund Mills where he remained until 1906, when he joined the Aryodaya Spinning and Weaving Co., Ahmedabad, taking charge of their various mills. Later on, he was appointed Superintending Engineer of this important concern with its various branches and subsidiaries, and this position he held until his death on 27th September 1924, at the age of fifty-three.
He became an Associate Member of this Institution in 1911 and a Member in 1917.
