William Morgan (1870-1945), Professor of Automobile Engineering at the University of Bristol

William Morgan was born in 1870.
He was head of the Pupils Department of the Daimler Motor Co. from 1907 to 1911, when he was appointed Professor of Automobile Engineering at the University of Bristol.
He retired in 1936, but on the outbreak of war resumed his post at the Merchant Venturers' Technical College.
He died on 29th May, 1945, at the age of 75.
He was elected a Member in 1908, a Member of Council in 1923, and was President of the Institution during the 1929-30 Session. Further details of his career were published in the Journal for July-September, 1945.
