1868 Made a series of measurements on behalf of the owners during the second voyage of the Westphalia, of the Hamburgh-New York line, from the Needles to New York, in October, 1868, which were reported in The Engineer.

1881 Birth of son Walter Bergius

1891 Living in Dunoon, Argyll: Walter C. Bergius (age 43 born Germany), Civil Engineer). With his wife and five children.[1]

1909 July 18th. Died at Glasgow. His widow was Agnes Bergius or Teacher.
