1955 Western Manufacturing negotiated a deal with Standard-Thomson Corporation of USA to take a 60 percent interest in a new company, Western Thomson Controls, to manufacture the high pressure wax pellet thermostats of Standard-Thomson[1]
1955 Merger with Adamant Engineering Co of Luton to form Adamant and Western Engineering[2].
1961 Light precision engineers, engaged in manufacture of aircraft accessories, printing machinery and other equipment. 1,000 employees. [3]
