1879 The company was formed and took over the closed Marshfield Iron Works

1881 The Western Tinplate Works Limited was registered

By 1893 Western Tinplate had 9 mills.

1897 The Western was one of 3 local companies that were combined to form the Llanelly Steel Co.

1923 The South Wales Tinplate Corporation was registered - which represented a selling organisation for: [1]

1931 The last four works, above, resigned from the Corporation.

1939 A founder of the Llanelly Associated Tinplate Companies Limited[3]
