1888 Supplied clay preparation plant, including a horizontal single-cylinder steam engine, to Burgess and Leigh, Middleport Pottery, Burslem. Still running when photographed by George Watkins in 1975 [1]. Engine has been preserved in situ.

1898 Private company.

1959 Company made public.

1961 Manufacturers of machinery for the ceramic and process industries. 250 employees.[2]
