1956 'Mr. William Fox. The death has occurred in hospital of Mr. William Fox, founder of the Smethwick firm of William Fox and Sons. Ltd., machinists. of Brewery Street. He was 76, and is survived by two sons and two daughters. Mr. Fox. whose home was at Greenfield Road, Smethwick, founded the firm in Ford Street, Smethwick, in 1913, and he was actively engaged with the company until his death. The funeral is on Thursday. The service at Smethwick Spiritualist Church, Thimblemill Road, will be followed by interment at Uplands Cemetery.'[2]
